Iconic Finnish soap opera
Salatut elämät
In celebration of the iconic Finnish soap opera Salatut elämät's 25th anniversary, I had the unique opportunity to reimagine and rejuvenate its visual identity. As part of this milestone project, I took on multiple roles, including scriptwriting, directing, and creating a dynamic 3D world that brings a fresh perspective to this beloved series.

Scripting and Direction
The journey began with the scripting process, where I crafted new narratives that intertwine seamlessly with the existing storyline, adding depth and new angles to the characters. My direction focused on capturing the essence of the show while introducing innovative storytelling techniques. This fresh approach was designed to resonate with long-time fans and new viewers alike, ensuring the series remains relevant in the ever-evolving landscape of television drama.
Reimagining the Visuals
One of the project’s highlights was the redesign of the show’s logo and the creation of a new opening sequence, which was crucial in marking the series' quarter-century legacy. I developed a unique concept involving a diamond through which the multifaceted personalities of the characters are viewed, reflecting their different aspects into the visual narrative. This metaphorical use of the diamond not only symbolizes the enduring quality of the show but also adds a layer of depth to the viewer's experience. The 3D world I constructed supports this concept, with each facet of the diamond revealing a different dimension of the storyline and its characters, thus providing a literal and figurative depth to the narrative.

This project was not only a celebration of Salatut elämät's past achievements but also a stepping stone towards its future in the competitive realm of television dramas. By blending traditional storytelling with innovative visual techniques, the revamped opening sequence sets a new standard for the series as it continues to captivate audiences with its compelling tales of drama, suspense, and intrigue.
